My Day at Treehouse

Snow Cubs: Ages 8 weeks 4 years

Our Colorado State Licensed Daycare, located in the Treehouse with a licensed registered nurse on staff, caters to infants and toddlers. The interior lobby of Snow Cubs has a fabulous fish tank to fascinate children for hours. Children spend their time playing games on and off the snow under the supervision of our kids' specialists and are grouped by age with dedicated theme rooms for each group. Lunch is included.

Parents will check in at the front desk, receive a security code and then check your child into their specific room providing an opportunity to view your child's environment and meet their care provider. At the end of the day you will need to provide the security code at the front desk prior to checking out your child from their specific room.

Butterfly 1 & 2: Ages 8 weeks - 18 months

Our Butterfly 1 and Butterfly 2 rooms accommodate our youngest guests. Children aged 8 weeks to 18 months will delight in the butterfly themed rooms with large butterflies and fluffy white clouds floating overhead.

Butterfly 1 has a soft foam garden area, designed for non walkers to lie or crawl and explore a simulated garden environment complete with soft toy caterpillars and butterflies. Our secluded nap room provides the perfect atmosphere for youngsters to nap.

Butterfly 2 houses four-wheel bikes and wagons for early walkers to increase their mobility. Books, large gym blocks, soft building blocks and baby dolls encourage toddlers to explore their environment. Activities throughout the day range from play time in an activity center, story time, stroller rides, singing, rocking and of course, nap time. Buggy rides are a favorite of children in both Butterfly 1 and Butterfly 2 rooms.

Trout Haven: Ages 1 1/2 - 2 years

Your child will delight in the wonders of Trout Haven. Our nature theme brings the river experience indoors with a Plexiglass trout pond complete with fish, reeds and fish surfacing holes for your child to explore. The Trout Haven room encourages hand-eye coordination with age appropriate building blocks and promotes the development of imagination with work tools, baby cribs, a cooking and sink set.

Large board books are plentiful in this room for group reading time and free play. Children delight in exploring the outdoor playground, snow play and buggy rides when weather permits.

Fox Den: Ages 2 and up - Non-skiers

The Fox Den accommodates a family of foxes and children aged 2 and up in a unique cave designed to capture the mind of the inquisitive child. This room encourages exploration and growth with dress-up, a dollhouse and four-wheel bikes, dinosaurs, age-appropriate building blocks, kitchen sets and a playground for snow or summer play.

Books and a puppet theatre provide opportunities to learn taking turns, sharing, listening and free play. Comfortable mats make nap time a nurturing experience for children.

Beaver Lodge Ski Room: Ages 2 1/2 +

The Beaver Lodge Room is dedicated to children from 2 1/2 years of age who are ready to be introduced to the fun and joy of skiing with our all-inclusive package. Children enrolled in Cubs on Skis will spend time on-snow with our preschool-specific pros in their own learning area complete with a Sun Kids Ski Lift. After their skiing experience, your child will spend the rest of the day enjoying hands-on activities in the Beaver Lodge.

The Beaver Lodge provides children an opportunity to build their own beaver dam, dress up, use their imagination with a puppet theatre, play with age appropriate building blocks and discover the world of books, reading and free play.

Big Burn Bears: Ages 3 - 4

Our Big Burn Bears have their very own Bear Den located in the Treehouse and their own beginner area complete with obstacle courses and Sun Kids Ski Lifts. Parents must sign their children in and out at the Bear Den registration desk. Prior to commencing their ski day, children will enjoy the nature theme complete with puppet theatre, bear grotto and loft.

Big Burn Bears are skiers and will be placed in groups based on their skiing ability. New skiers will spend some time indoors negotiating their "new big long feet" and learning a few basics before practicing on the slippery snow. Returning skiers will spend time on the Sun Kids Ski Lift to refresh their skills or learn new ones. Skiers that can stop and turn will explore the Skittles Lift and the Village Express.

The Bear Den provides the perfect setting for lunch and snack breaks. Bears must be potty trained.

Grizzlies: Ages 5 - 6

First-time skiers or boarders meet inside in the Eagle Peak room. All skiers, Levels 1-9 meet on snow in the Sun Kids ski Lift area. Your child's skiing or riding ability will be assessed on-snow and you will have an opportunity to meet their instructor. At the end of the day you will sign your child out with his or her instructor. The Grizzlies spend their days on the mountain, enjoying direct access for tearing up the slopes.

New Grizzlies will spend some time indoors learning a few basics before practicing outside on the Sun Kids Ski Lifts or one of our Elk Camp Magic Carpets.

Returning skiers or boarders will spend time on the Sun Kids Ski Lift to refresh their skills and learn new ones. This provides our experienced ski and snowboard pros an opportunity to accurately assess your child's skill level and place them into the appropriate group. Grizzlies that can stop and turn will explore terrain provided by the Skittles Lift and the Village Express. When skiers can match their skis when going across the hill, the mountain offers an exciting variety of kids' trails to explore.

Eagle Peak provides the perfect setting for lunch and snack breaks for newer skiers and boarders, while Lizard Lodge accommodates those more experience skiers and boarders.
